Thoughtful Childbirth Series
This childbirth preparation course will allow you to become acquainted with not only the process of labor and birth but also give you and a partner the opportunity to grow together as you try different laboring positions and hands-on comfort techniques.
We will cover the last weeks of pregnancy, signs of labor, labor expectations, when to go to your place of birth, early, active and transitional labor, how to support a birthing person, comfort measures, laboring positions, pushing positions and techniques, breathing, immediate postpartum expectations, and the 4th trimester.
Our group classes are currently live but virtual. The series is 4 weeks long with 3 weeks of childbirth preparation and a final week of newborn care and breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding Basics: Nursing & Nuturing
Baby is born and, barring any unexpected events, placed skin to skin on your chest. Now what?
In our prenatal breastfeeding class, we explore the how-to of nursing beginning with the first latch. Our class focuses on practical skills - identifying hunger cues, positioning parent and baby, achieving an optimal latch, identifying signs that baby is drinking milk, and when to get help. The content of this class is based on the questions we most commonly hear in the first 6-8 weeks of the nursing journey. We also explore the emotional and nurturing elements of the human milk feeding relationship in the first 6-8 weeks and beyond.
